About

I make things. Most of the time I make dance. Afterall, isn't everything dance?
I dance.
I make things that map identity and belonging. Creo rompecabezas y creo cosas que rompe cabezas. I make dance like I make bed sheets into clothes. I make dance like my mom makes once-broken mugs into planters, and like my abuela makes the kitchen floor into a dance hall. I make things that connect what is disconnected. I make space and make in-between spaces material. I try to make visible that which is invisible. I hold questions about who we are and what we’re doing.
I believe in love. I believe in community. I believe in rasquachismo. I believe in breathing. Creo en el mestizaje. I believe in context. I believe in hybridization, juxtaposition, integration, and divergence. Creo en el cuerpo. I believe in sweat. I believe in rest. I believe in specificity. Creo en la vida.
